Wreath laying ceremony and commemoration of the 170th anniversary of the 1848-49 Revolution and Freedom Struggle.

The event also marked the 90th anniversary of the erection of the monument. On that very day, March 15 1928 a crowd of 25 thousand gathered at Riverside Drive and 113th Street to dedicate the monument to Lajos Kossuth. After the ceremony the Magyar House hosted us for more celebration with classical music and a reenactment of the events in 1848 by the representatives of the youngest generation of freedom loving Hungarians.
