The Session of The First Presbyterian Church voted in favor of a memorial to Zsuzsanna Kossuth.

The First Presbyterian Church voted in favor of a memorial to Zsuzsanna Kossuth. As we have posted it earlier here, the youngest sister of Lajos (Louis) Kossuth, the hero of the War of Independence died in New York and was buried in the vault of a wealthy family near the Church, where used to be a graveyard. Because she died in poverty, there were no funds for individual tombstone or any other memorial for her. Zsuzsanna Kossuth's remains rest in the site still without any sign. Now we've taken a great step to change it, hopefully in this year as this is the 200th anniversary of her birth, and as such, her dedicated memorial year.
